What's it like to be an Accounts Clerk?
An Accounts Clerk is responsible for performing bookkeeping and clerical duties in a company's accounting department. They record financial transactions, handle accounts payable and receivable, and support the production of financial reports. In addition, they may assist with budget preparation, tax filing, and payroll processes.Tasks and duties
- Posting daily receipts and processing invoices for payments.
- Processing transactions and performing routine calculations to produce financial data.
- Maintaining accurate records of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets and financial statements.
- Managing petty cash transactions and reconciling bank statements.
- Responding to customer enquiries regarding billing and payments.
