What's it like to be a Financial Administrator?
Financial Administrators are responsible for managing and overseeing a company's financial resources. They handle tasks such as planning budgets, tracking expenses and preparing financial statements. A Financial Administrator works closely with management to make strategic decisions about how to invest and utilise a company's financial resources while keeping up-to-date with tax laws and regulatory guidelines. They are found in a variety of sectors such as banking, manufacturing and government agencies.
Tasks and duties
- Managing financial accounts and records of a company or organisation.
- Preparing and submitting financial reports to regulatory authorities, shareholders and executives.
- Advising relevant teams on financial implications of business decisions and strategies.
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures by assessing and minimising financial risk.
- Contributing to the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, legal requirements and accounting standards.
- Communicating with external auditors and accountants to ensure the completion of annual audits.
