What's it like to be a Quality Assurance Officer?
A Quality Assurance Officer works to ensure that the final products of a company meet set quality standards. They review processes and systems, conduct audits and analyse data to ensure consistency in products or services. Often, they work to identify potential issues in production and propose solutions to bolster quality. Industries where Quality Assurance Officers are employed include manufacturing, technology, healthcare and food production.
Tasks and duties
- Developing and implementing quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Inspecting and evaluating the quality of products or services to ensure they meet set criteria.
- Documenting quality assurance activities and creating reports, detailing results, failures and corrective actions.
- Collaborating with production teams to devise and implement controls and improvements to processes.
- Organising and maintaining control systems for compliance with quality requirements.
- Identifying training needs and developing training programs in relation to quality assurance.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and regulations regarding quality assurance.
