What's it like to be a Digital Business Analyst?
A Digital Business Analyst is responsible for identifying and implementing digital solutions to streamline business operations and improve customer experience. Their responsibilities are often around understanding and interpreting business needs, identifying technological opportunities, and proposing system solutions that align with business strategy. They apply their expertise to formulate project scope and objectives, coordinate with project stakeholders, and facilitate the design, testing and implementation of digital systems. A variety of sectors including finance, healthcare and technology generally employ Digital Business Analysts.
Tasks and duties
- Analysing business needs and requirements to develop effective digital solutions.
- Determining project requirements by consulting with business users and stakeholders.
- Creating detailed business analysis documents, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions.
- Working closely with IT teams and developers to design and implement solutions.
- Performing quality assurance testing to ensure the functionality of implemented digital solutions.
- Reviewing and updating existing business processes regularly to make sure they align with a company's digital strategy.
- Training and mentoring team members on new systems and business processes.
